During the summer season, there are an increasing number of theatrical activities in the city of Saranda, because the city becomes the center of fun and entertainment.
But the most important event the city hosts is certainly, the Festival of the International Theater Show that takes place in the amphitheater of the ancient city of Butrint.
It is a kind of theater contest, where many theater groups from around the world participate. This usually week-long event attracts countless visitors and holidaymakers.
There are also a number of very good plays which are put on stage in Saranda during the high tourist season.
